Well friends, the essential oils have blown me away with how much they have improved my life style. For those of you who do not know or are too lazy to read my bio (it is rather lengthy), I was born and raised in Southeast Texas. I still live here. My area is known for its horrible pollens and the humidity causing critical allergy and asthma problems. I place the essential oils mix on my sinuses or painful areas as directed (always mix vegetable oil when placing it on the skin. I use coconut oil.), add the essential oil drops in the diffuser, and even add drops according to my needs in the bath. I’ve used Peppermint and Eucalyptus or my asthma and allergies (I usually notice an improvement within 5-20 minutes). I put relaxing essential oils in my bath such as grape fruit or lavender and I use lime to help energize me on my daily runs. Additionally, when stressed I use certain essential oils to calm or brighten my mood and I must say, it works beautifully. Also, I had a horrible reaction to something outdoors. It was a giant red spot on my arm that itched profusely. I put a lavender oil mix on it (as suggested by by essential oils guide book: The Complete Book of Essential Oils & Aromatherapy by Valerie Worwood) and it went away within 10 minutes. The itching stopped within 5 minutes. After these minor victories, I decided to try the essential oils on my dogs (as suggested in the guide book for digestion or small wounds) and did not notice a difference. I will admit, I was skeptical when I purchased the starter’s pack from Plant Guru but I have no complaints. I’m glad I gambled on this and the odds are, you will be too.

As for the Himalayan Salt inhaler by Himalayan Health, I use it daily. Sometimes I can notice a difference in my breathing shortly thereafter, especially when I inhale with it for 10-20 minutes a day. I use it while watching a comedy show or doing things around the house. The down side is it comes in a porcelain container (other brands have the option of plastic but this one came highly recommended). I like that it comes with a small bag for easy carrying and protection and that it comes with extra salt packets to change it out. The verdict? If you have the time to devote 10-20 minutes a day sitting in your underwear inhaling on this thing it is worth it. If you are ADD and cannot sit still long enough to puff, don’t invest.
